How I Stay Organized | 5 Tips
I have realized working for yourself and working from home needs a lot of self motivation and organisation. And I was struggling with it for quite some time and now I have put down a process that works for me.
Hope it works for you too. And it's better to be organized and planned no matter whom you work for and where. So read on...
#1 Set monthly goals and then plan your weeks depending on them.
Jot down everything that you need to achieve in that particular month, meeting you want to do and tasks you want to cover.
Then spread them out over a period of month.
This gives you a clear weekly plan to achieve your monthly goals without overwhelming yourself.
Also, keep space for the unexpected or impromptu tasks that might crop up.
#2 Plan your week on Sunday night.
I started planning my week on Sunday nights and it took off a lot of pressure from my Mondays.
There is something satisfying and relaxing to having worked out how your coming week is going to look like.
Could snooze off peacefully on a Sunday night.
#3 Divide your Day in 3 slots.
Now when you are planning your day, divide it in 3 slots.
Morning, day and night. That way you know in which part of the day what things you are going to get done.
Also, I avoid putting tasks in exact time slots because let's be real most of the things are not going to happen right on that time. And when that doesn't happen I feel discouraged and I have this crazy pressure to keep up, which does not help.
The planner I use by Nirmala Franklin, helps me with this a lot.
Check out the review at the end of this post.
#4 Check your plans in the morning & Set reminders on phone.
This doesn't need much explanation. Best to check how your day looks like fist thing in the morning, it warms your brain up! :P Also, you can set reminders for a couple of important tasks for the day.
#5 Write down all that you have accomplished in the previous week.
Congratulate yourself on completing the tasks of previous week. Reflect on what you did right. Also, if something didn't go as planned, take it as a lesson and figure out how you could have done it better.
This year I have been using the amazing planner/organizer from Nirmala Franklin as I mentioned before, it literally has everything I need in a planner.
Let's take a look...
Hope these tips help you.

Life in Monochromes
In life nothing can be totally Black or White,
but hey your clothes can be.
And what better than formals to make this combination work like magic?
Here are two looks I put together,
which are my ways to add touch of grace and personal style to your Monochrome Work Wear.
GRACE
Top: Splash | Skirt: Limeroad
Bag: Phat | Footwear: Hill Road, Bandra
I would go for this look, when I would want to make a powerful statement and look feminine as well.
The breezy top keeps me comfortable and the clean lines make it look sophisticated.
Also, totally in love with the pattern of the neck. Would love to own more such necklines.
The black pencil skirt is the formal wardrobe staple.
Adding some more class with beige toned accessories.
SPUNK
Kurti and Trousers: Max Fashions | Inner: Forever 21
Neckpiece & Bag: Goa | Footwear: Catwalk
A small party happening at office? And you need to change things a little for you?
Go for layering with your button down kurti and add some chunky accessories.
I added this colorful neckpiece and embroidered sling bag to my black and whites.
This keeps the tone of the outfit formal with a touch of spunk to it.
Do tell me which one of this is more you...

Street Fair | Summer Fashion
The only pretty thing about Indian Summers are the colors.
Also may be Golas and Ice creams, but that's that!
But let's enjoy those things with no cribbing.
Ok, let's say minimal cribbing. :P
Wearing loose fits and lighter fabrics is essential.
It keeps you cool and your brain calm.
So, now's the time for staking up on breezy outfits.

Like this off-shoulder top in cotton-crepe fabric
Top: Trendarrest | Palazzo Pants: Limeroad.com
And there are so many prints to try out! I guess that's the best part.
Tie-dyes like this or floral prints, tribal print, geometric and so much more....
So ladies, don't forget to have some fun in the sun and ofcourse Golas!

Glam Hair & Makeup | Amber
We all love revamping our looks
or getting a makeover just for a day too, right?
So here's my experience with Amber, Spa & Salon services at home!
I wanted something really glam for a function I had to attend that evening
and the stylists from Amber helped me achieve it.
They were totally punctual and very professional.
I really wanted to do something different to my hair as I was a little bored with my curls,
so Rahul, the hair stylists recommended this style.
I wanted some volume and didnt want a hair-do that sat flat.
This one really worked.
I was up for bold makeup too,
so we went for purple eyes and not-so-dark mouth.
The products used for make-up were good quality. It would have been great if they had more options in lip colors to choose from though.
Also, I would have loved if they had a catalogue of looks and hair-dos for reference,
as not everyone knows what they exactly want.
But over all the experience was quite great.
Do tell me if you liked the final look and the outfit.

Acrygel Nail Extensions @ Jeane Claude Biguine
Do you love long nails? Then keep reading...
So recently I tried out this amazing AcryGel Nail extensions at Jean Claude Biguine .
And I fell in love with them!
The amazing folks at JCB gave me a chance to try out this service they provide.
I visited their Powai Salon.
So here's a little more about AcryGel Nails if you don't already know it,
Acrygel is a combination of the acrylic and gel.
It’s method for adding extension & strength to your nails using acrylic and gel foundation.
It is quite long lasting and really impressive.
So how they go about it?
1.
The nail technician, the very adorable Sim, started with cleaning and trimming my nails.
I had long nails, but they were quite uneven as few of them had chipped off.
So this set the record straight. ;)
2.
After neatly trimming and buffing my nails, she went ahead to match my nails with extensions, she picked the exact match to the shape & size of my nails.
3.
We then decided onto the length that I would like to go ahead. I chose to keep them long but comfortable as well.
4.
Post gluing them, more buffing and trimming was carried out.
She recommended that I go ahead with the square shape and I am glad that I did.
I am quite liking it, till now I was mostly into round or almond shaped nails.
5.
And then she carefully filled in the nails with couple of gel products. Well you need some patience when they are working on your nails, it takes quite sometime to perfectly shape and fill the nails with the gel.
I was quite impressed with the outcome.
6.
And for the final finishing touch a little bit iof filing and buffing was done.
And my nails were long, strong and ready to be painted.
7.
Post that I went ahead with a natural pastel shade with some glitter ombre.
It goes well with any type of outfit.
The best thing about AcryGel Nail extensions is that even after a fortnight, my nails are intact, they haven't chipped at all. The nail art hasn't come off and it still looks fresh.
The slightest con to this is that you have to maintain the extensions by going for refills at regular intervals or have to take them off altogether.
This service is priced at Rs 3500.
Even though the initial cost is worth, but it's the maintenance that gets expensive.
Time taken: 2 hours.
Over all, yes I am totally crushing on them and I am gonna try and change the polish! :)
Do tell me if you would wanna to try them out too?

Dress: Belle Fille, Myntra | Footwear: Catwalk
Bag: Lino Perros
From past one year,
I am going on adding grey clothes to my wardrobe and I am loving them.
I never thought I would love this hue so much.
But it has a quality of subdued elegance...
And this dress fits so beautifully.
And just wanted to style it a little differently,
so paired it with these ethnic danglers.
Do tell me if you like this pairing? ;)
