Do you love long nails? Then keep reading...

So recently I tried out this amazing AcryGel Nail extensions at Jean Claude Biguine .

And I fell in love with them!

So here's me writing about the AcryGel experience...

The amazing folks at JCB gave me a chance to try out this service they provide.

I visited their Powai Salon.

So here's a little more about AcryGel Nails if you don't already know it,

Acrygel is a combination of the acrylic and gel.

It’s method for adding extension & strength to your nails using acrylic and gel foundation.

It is quite long lasting and really impressive.

So how they go about it?

The nail technician, the very adorable Sim, started with cleaning and trimming my nails.

I had long nails, but they were quite uneven as few of them had chipped off.

So this set the record straight. ;)

After neatly trimming and buffing my nails, she went ahead to match my nails with extensions, she picked the exact match to the shape & size of my nails.

We then decided onto the length that I would like to go ahead. I chose to keep them long but comfortable as well.

Post gluing them, more buffing and trimming was carried out.

She recommended that I go ahead with the square shape and I am glad that I did.

I am quite liking it, till now I was mostly into round or almond shaped nails.

And then she carefully filled in the nails with couple of gel products. Well you need some patience when they are working on your nails, it takes quite sometime to perfectly shape and fill the nails with the gel.

I was quite impressed with the outcome.

And for the final finishing touch a little bit iof filing and buffing was done.

And my nails were long, strong and ready to be painted.

Post that I went ahead with a natural pastel shade with some glitter ombre.

It goes well with any type of outfit.

The best thing about AcryGel Nail extensions is that even after a fortnight, my nails are intact, they haven't chipped at all. The nail art hasn't come off and it still looks fresh.

The slightest con to this is that you have to maintain the extensions by going for refills at regular intervals or have to take them off altogether.

This service is priced at Rs 3500.

Even though the initial cost is worth, but it's the maintenance that gets expensive.

Time taken: 2 hours.

Over all, yes I am totally crushing on them and I am gonna try and change the polish! :)

Do tell me if you would wanna to try them out too?

If you pretties follow me on Instagram, you might know I had been to a rocking event recently hosted by Team Liva. The theme being a brilliant #UnboxWithLiva.

Who likes to feel trapped? Uncomfortably stuck?

Helpless in work or social situations?

Or like to be boxed, in one place, a situation?

No One.

#UnboxWithLiva

stood for just that.
Free yourself from the usual, uncomfortable, undesirable.

AS for us bloggers we are mostly working alone from our bedrooms, sometimes even from the bed.

No team, no colleagues just a lot of editing, writing and corresponding.

Liva encouraged us to #Unbox, step out, bring a change.

And for Indian women Team Liva have got in a fluid fabric,
what little they can do to #unbox Indian women.

What is Liva and Fluid Fashion you might ask!

I had the same doubt when I first went out shopping for Liva as we were to attend this glitzy event that happened in Bunglow 9, dressed in Liva itself.

I was looking for Liva the brand,

turns out, Liva is a special fabric that is available with various popular brands.

I picked out a black and white long, slit kurti from Izabel Pantaloons

& a fuchsia flared bottoms.

Dressed in this pretty combo I headed to the event around 3 in the afternoon.

The venue was so very well decorated and I met some amazing bloggers there.

The wine and dine began and good times rolled.

We were then enlightened about what Liva exactly does for you.

Along with the host for the day, the lovely Freishia, RJ Archana and fashion choreographer Shy Kalra, we were taken through all that Liva is and stands for!

So what is Liva?

A new-age naturally created fabric (in a pure or blended form)

that transforms not just the garment but also the person wearing it.

It is comfortable, soft, 100% natural, and eco-friendly.

It aims to aims to keep you going through the day without being weighed down.

It is made from natural fibres which are produced from wood pulp, a natural renewable resource.

The pulp used is from trees which are specifically grown for this purpose i.e. more new trees are planted than trees are cut.

It gives the earth a much-needed green cover, saves 6-7 times more land in comparison to cotton, and saves 3-4 times more water than usual.

My Experience

As I mentioned I had left home in scorching October afternoon

and was there at the event for almost next 5 hours!

And no kidding, I didn't complain about heat or any other discomfort even once.

I was enjoying the event, socializing and then commuting comfortably. Everything that Liva claimed turned out to be true!

And it sure is a blessing for Indian women, specially in Bombay,

where weather never plays fair.

It's like a necessity.

I am going to try and search for the pink LIVA tags next time I go shopping.

They currently retail with AND, Global Desi, Pantaloons, 109, Lifestyle, Fusionbeats to name a few.

Let's feel #BoxyNoMore. :)

I agree....

Gala Brothers Bridal Diamond jewellery indian blogger

Walking in, in the world of glamour & glitter and then never wanting to go back.

This was exactly how I felt at the Gala Brother's Jewellery showroom in Mumbai. Last week they invited me over to check out their latest collection of heavenly jewels. I happily accepted.

In the above pictures you will see some breathtaking pieces of jewellery.

Each and every jewel is a master piece.

The designs have a contemporary touch without losing the Indian-ness of it all.

I believe they are the best fit for a modern Indian bride who hopes to find something unique with an urban edge to it.

G&B Jewellers as they are known, have the most amazing ring collection.

I fell in love with the intricately designed cocktail rings. The mix of diamonds and enamel create such great designs. I just couldn't stop trying them on.

Diamond earrings are always synonymous to glamour.

Pairing them with a sleek dress instantly sky rockets the glam quotient. Also, I really liked the mix of ethnic and modern designs in earrings which are perfect for weddings or festive outfits. The jhumkas and the chandbalis also had a trendy twist to them.

And the star of the evening was the exuberant diamond neckpiece,

I couldn't take my eyes off myself, I stood there in front of the mirror like I was in one of my dreams. ;)

Well, this neckpiece that sparkled like magic had everything a girl could ask for.... gold, diamonds & pearls. Perfect for a royal bride I say. And when she wants to add a touch of contemporary to it the dangler like bracelet does the trick.

Those were some sparkly hours I spent at the G&B Jewellers.

Here's something more about them...

Dhvanit Gala & Malhar Gala , driven by a passion to create exquisite masterpieces that are timeless, founded G&B Jewellers in 2000.
Design and craftsmanship have ultimate priority, giving every piece its own individuality.

Inspired by traditional Indian jewellery and gifted with new-age creative talent,

the Gala Brothers combine these elements to create jewellery that caters to the entire spectrum of clients.

So whether your interest lies in traditional Indian pieces, or more modern European styles, or even a mix of both, there are a variety of designs you can pick from based on your mood or occasion.

You can check them out on Facebook too.

Do tell me in the comments below which piece of art is your favourite?

Love,

I m a big fan of spas, I love to treat and pamper myself with them. Those blissful hours and that refreshing feeling for the day to follow are worth the splurge every once in a while.

I recently visited Sukho Thai Foot Spa and had an amazing Foot Spa Experience.

Let me start with sharing some benefits of Foot Spa/ Reflexology.

Why you should get a Foot Spa?

Feet are the most ignored part of our body, a relaxing massage for the tired legs and feet eases muscle fatigue & reduces tension,

The essential oils, scrubs or the products which are used makes your feet look pretty too.

Reduces depression & Anxiety.

I did some research and also found out it's good for your circulation, migraines and also helps alleviate symptoms of PMS & Menopause.

About Sukho Thai

A Thai foot spa spreading happiness & smiles. They are passionately committed to total quality spa services. They believe in upholding the highest ethical standards. The word Sukho is derived from the Sanskrit work "Sukh" which stands for happiness and Thai for being it a Thailand brand.

My Experience

As I walked towards the spa my eyes fell on the amazing entrance and then I was welcomed into a very soothing ambiance with a pleasant greeting. I think I was already feeling relaxed with the trickly water sounds, dim lights and ambient light music.

After I chose the therapy I wanted to get, I was given comfy cotton pajamas to change into. Then I proceeded to my recliner, a very comfortable & relaxing one I must say. The therapy area was hardly lit making it even more relaxing. There's almost a pin drop silence, it's like another world, in good way. ;)

My therapy entailed a very detailed foot spa. The therapist started with an oil massage and then proceeded too soothe the pressure points followed by a very relaxing head and bath massage. My Thai massage also included extreme stretches which tests you at first but take it from me they help you feel good real quick. A stuck up & strained feeling in your neck, shoulders and back disappears soon.

It ended with a mini meal of exotic & fresh fruits and a cup of ginger tea.

It was a soothing experience all in all and I can't wait to go back to try some other therapy as well.
