American Swan | Review

There are many online shopping portals, providing lots of things and various styles.

Which may be a good thing but not always!

Some people have a specific style, they love to keep that consistent.

Others would want to follow a particular trend and are just looking for something that fits in that trend.

At such times it's great to have a place that caters to one style, appeal may be.

For most of the current trends, I think of American Swan.

It's the perfect stop for all the 90s and Navy fashion, which is quite huge currently.

American Swan is an International online Fashion & Lifestyle brand that combines Urban American Lifestyle with a quintessential European feel, British to be more precise.

As soon as you land on their home page,

And have been crushing on too many pieces at a time.

I quite like that too.

NOSTALGIA

Nostalgia is denial - denial of the painful present...

the name for this denial is golden age thinking - the erroneous notion that a different time period is better than the one one's living in - it's a flaw in the romantic imagination.

Colors and patterns trick our brains.

They affect our mood and our feelings.

It's quite an exciting game!

The red, brown and burgundy plaids, as much as they remind me of 90s,

they take me to my happy place.

A place without the mobile phones and constant buzzing of chat applications,

a place with old fragrant library books, cakes, lemonade and conversations.

I am Nostalgic!

Plaid dresses can be pretty much worn everywhere.
A well fitting monochrome plaid dress can get you through an extremely formal setting as well.

One rule I love to follow when it comes to plaid, match your lips with one of the dark tones of your plaid outfit.
Works wonders!

Gazing in the mirror I don't find myself.

It's not the wild, carefree me.

Pantene Pro-Vitamin Oil | Review

It's really great that I get to test all these products

which I usually wouldn't bother to actually pick up myself,

and I wouldn't know all the goodness that I have been missing.

The best part is, sharing the review with you guys.
After using Pantene Pro-Vitamin Oil,
here's my take on it.

What it claims to do for you?

Providing deep conditioning without being sticky & gross.
Fortified with Almond Oil and Vitamin E.

Also supposed to prevent or control hair fall.

INGREDIENTS

MY EXPERIENCE

Well to start with the most important part,
it really stays true to it's claim, it is completely non-sticky.
As a result I sometimes end up using it like a day serum
to control the odd fly-aways and frizz!

The fragrance works for me, as it's a very light floral one.
The consistency of the liquid isn't very thick and sticky,
so it doesn't attract dust and you can step out wearing this oil.

But if I am looking for deep conditioning

I usually pair it up with coconut oil, keep it over night and wash it off the next morning.

HAIR FALL CONTROL?
Unfortunately, haven't noticed anything working there.
May be I need to give it some more time, dunno!

WHO SHOULD GET IT?

Olay Total Effects 7 in 1 Day Cream | Review

For me healthy skin isn't a fair one but glowing and spotless.

I have been fighting slight pigmentation since I can remember

and have been in a search of good day cream that won't break the bank.

So along with Olay Total Effects Face Wash,
I also got a chance to review the day cream.

It claims to to do following things for you,
Fight the Seven Signs of Aging!

Fine lines and wrinkles

Uneven skin tone

Age spots

Uneven texture

Dryness

Dullness

Pores

My Experience with

Olay Total Effects Day Cream

I started using this cream one month ago and I started noticing the difference in couple of days.

My skin gives up on glowing and looking healthy in winter

but fortunately it hasn't happened this year,

and I am guessing it is because of regular use of Olay Total Effects Day Cream.

I like that it is a compact, travel friendly container

with a press down pump.

Skin tone and texture has evened out marginally.

I am happy with just that too. ;)

The cream's texture is light, quickly absorbs into the skin, takes away dryness without being greasy. I am more than happy now!

Again I cannot judge the anti-aging property as of now.

But if it really does help, it's like better being safe than sorry.

The ingredients aren't mentioned anywhere on the container or packaging.

But did some research and found out that it contains Lanolin, which supposedly is very good for the skin.

Also, it has SPF 15, so atleast a tiny level of sun protection is guaranteed.

I couldn't really find any con with Olay Total Effects Day Cream.

That's how much I like it.

With all this it just costs INR 375 for 20g.

Olay Total Effects Face Wash | Review

Have tried many face washes!
Have been in search of one which doesn't tighten the skin from forever now

and then I got a chance to review Olay Total Effects

(Day Cream and Face Wash).

I am glad it happened.

Let's talk about the Face Wash first.
It claims to remove excess oil, gets rid of dirt, removes make up,
being gentle on skin, doesn't overdry or breakout.

INGREDIENTS.

MY EXPERIENCE.

I have used Olay Total Effects Face Wash for a month now and...

3 Words. I love it.
The highlight of this face wash is that

it really gets rid of the excess oils and dirt without drying my face.
It doesn't leave my skin feeling tight like most Face Washes do.
It hasn't caused any breakouts either but anyway my skin doesn't breakout easily (touchwood ;) ), so I am not the best judge in this matter.

The fragrance isn't too harsh, it's pleasant.
The pearly texture is appealing as well and it foams real quick with just a tiny quantity.

The only con that I could find was it takes little effort to take off the Make Up.
But anyway I consider Face Wash's job to be gentle,
make up can be removed using a cream cleanser and cotton too.
So I am OK with it.

But sometimes you need something tough,
at such times I skip Olay and go for a scrub may be.
But currently this Face Wash has been my go to buddy for clean skin.

Also, it claims to be anti-ageing.
Well I can't say whether thats true too as yet.
Mom has been using it and will ask her to give the feedback in moths to come.
Till then if it's really anti-ageing it's cherry on the cake.
I might notice reduction in fine lines if I continue to use it.
Time will tell.
