Recently I was invited for the Popley & Sons Autumn winter (Festive & Wedding Season) collection preview. It was quite a sparkling affair. Here are a few pictures from that evening.
This spectacular collection is designed by the very talented
Rhea Nasta and I loved every bit of it. It was very well conceptualized and displayed. They started with the charms for the new born Rajkumari, to her growing up, becoming a teenage princess, her wedding and so on... an every household's princess story just like a fairy-tale. It gave a dreamy touch to the already magnificent jewellery.
The collection saw a mix of traditional and contemporary jewellery. My favourites being the chandbalis and the polki collection. Chandbali's are evergreen pieces of jewellery in India, it takes every outfit up a notch.
And the polki collection that I have tried on in the pictures above are uncut diamonds weaved into necklaces and earrings. The have a very different appeal. Also, Rhea told me that no two polki jewellery pieces are same as they are unprocessed diamonds, that's the beauty of it. :)
All in all it was a wonderful evening of gold, diamonds and all this glitter and class.
